Using The Wallace Foundation’s Summer Learning Toolkit and Getting to Work on Summer Learning, 2nd Edition, we’ll explore real-world strategies that boost engagement, improve outcomes, and build lasting demand. Learn from a district leader, apply adaptable tools, and collaborate to solve common challenges. All attendees will receive a free copy of the Wallace Foundation’s Summer Learning Toolkit and Getting to Work on Summer Learning, 2nd Edition.

Hillary Oravec is Managing Partner of The Learning Agenda, where she leads efforts to translate evidence into practice for states, cities, districts, and schools. Hillary supports partners in designing actionable strategies that improve summer and expanded learning, drawing on lessons from The Wallace Foundation’s National Summer Learning Project. She led the development of the widely used Summer Learning Toolkit and guides technical assistance that builds capacity for high-quality, evidence-based programs.

Patricia “Pat” Lewis, Ed.D. (she/her/hers)
Senior Consultant, The Learning Agenda, Denton, TX

Pat Lewis is the former Deputy Superintendent for Innovation and School Improvement at Grand Prairie ISD, where she led transformative initiatives to enhance student experience. Pat spearheaded a cross-departmental planning process to launch My Camp, a districtwide summer learning and enrichment initiative designed to engage students, families, and staff in innovative, high-quality experiences. My Camp has been recognized by the state agency as a model of innovation and regularly hosts learning tours for visitors from across the state and country.

Strategic Initiatives Manager, The Learning Agenda, Chicago, IL

Jared Scheck is Strategic Initiatives Manager at The Learning Agenda, where he helps states, cities, districts, and schools translate evidence into practice to strengthen summer and expanded learning. Jared brings experience supporting program development, strategic planning, and continuous improvement efforts, including work on Texas’ Additional Days School Year initiative and enrichment programming nationwide. He specializes in helping partners design actionable, data-informed strategies that improve student outcomes.
